Chapter History

The Lambda Kappa Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha proudly stands as the 248th link in our fraternity’s chain of sisterhood.

Founded on December 1, 2012, at Appalachian State University, Lambda Kappa has grown into a home filled with laughter, leadership, and lifelong friendship. Since our installation, we’ve welcomed so many amazing women who have each added their own story, strength, and heart to our chapter’s legacy.

Our sisters pour genuine love and dedication into everything we do — from hosting philanthropy events and supporting our national cause, to celebrating each other’s achievements and showing up through every season of life. Whether we’re raising awareness for breast cancer education, cheering on the Mountaineers, or spending cozy nights at home with our sisters, we’re always grounded in the values that make ZTA so special.

As proud members of Zeta Tau Alpha, we honor our national traditions while embracing the unique spirit of Boone that makes our sisterhood one-of-a-kind. The bonds we form here go far beyond campus — they become lifelong connections, rooted in love, loyalty, and shared memories that last long after graduation.
